Steinberg Wins Re-Election In 136th State House District
Democratic incumbent Jonathan Steinberg defeated Republican challenger Chip Stephens.

WESTPORT, CT — Incumbent Democrat Jonathan Steinberg handily won re-election Tuesday to retain the state's 136th House District seat, according to unofficial numbers from Westport's Democratic Registrar of Voters Marla Cowden and the Secretary of State's office.
Steinberg, who was seeking a sixth term, defeated Republican Chip Stephens, a three-term member of the Westport Planning and Zoning Commission.
The unofficial tally had Steinberg essentially doubling the vote over Stephens with 10,446 votes to 5,266.

In 2018, Steinberg defeated Westport Representative Town Meeting member Greg Kraut, a Republican, though on the RTM Kraut is nonpartisan.
