WESTPORT, CT — A 50-year-old Pleasantville, New York woman was arrested last month on a warrant, after Westport police said she spiked a "communal water container" with an undisclosed prescription medication that made three victims sick.

Megan Greenlee was arrested on Feb. 25 and charged with two counts of assault of an elderly person; two counts of second-degree assault; second-degree failure to appear; and failure to comply fingerprint requirements.

The alleged poisoning case began on July 4, 2025, when Westport police and EMS personnel were called to a home twice due to multiple people falling ill with the same symptoms.

"A total of three patients were transported to the hospital for treatment, with one of the three being transported twice," wrote Lt. Anthony Prezioso in a statement. "All patients did eventually recover. Through police led interviews with these patients, they expressed a concern that a relative residing in the home, identified as Megan Greenlee, might be responsible."

Police determined that a "communal water container" in the home had some sort of sediment. After having water samples tested by the State of Connecticut forensic laboratory, they discovered that the samples contained an undisclosed prescription medication.

"Through the investigation, a link between this medication and Greenlee was made," Prezioso said. "An arrest warrant was sought and granted for Greenlee."

Westport police made several attempts to contact Greenlee about the active warrant, but she did not respond, according to Prezioso.

She was eventually taken into custody by members of the Westchester County Police Department’s Warrant/Fugitive Unit last month, and waived extradition on Feb. 25, which allowed Westport police to charge her.

Greenlee, who was reported to be uncooperative during the booking process, was initially held in lieu of bail of $1 million.

Bail was reduced to $50,000, but she remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on May 5.

"We wish to formally thank the Westchester County Police Department for their assistance with the service of this warrant," Prezioso said.
