The suspect is accused of stealing the tools in the parking lot of Shake Shack on the Post Road East.

WESTPORT, CT — A 55-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested on a warrant earlier this month, after Westport police said he stole tools from a work van in Westport in January.
Jimmie Bay Bennett was charged with third-degree larceny in connection with the theft, which police said occurred in the parking lot of Shake Shack on the Post Road East on Jan. 18.
"The complainant reported that he was inside a business doing work and when he returned to his work van, he noticed that it had been entered, rummaged through, and tools had been stolen," Westport police wrote in a statement. "Leaving the parking lot, the complainant observed a black pickup truck containing some of his items in the bed of the truck."
