Suspect Charged In $6,000 Westport Cosmetic Store Theft: Police
The theft occurred in August at Ulta Beauty on the Post Road East, according to Westport police.
WESTPORT, CT — A 23-year-old Windsor, Connecticut, man was arrested on larceny charges last week in connection with the August theft of $6,000 worth of perfume and cologne from the Ulta Beauty store on the Post Road East in Westport, according to police.
Jahliil Parrott was arrested on a warrant charging him with third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny. He was apprehended at Hartford Superior Court on Friday where he was appearing on unrelated charges.
The Westport theft occurred just before 7 p.m. on Aug. 13, according to police.

"Employees of the store reported that three individuals entered and had begun loading up a hand basket with numerous bottles of cologne and perfume," Westport police said. "The three suspects then ran out of the store to a waiting vehicle without paying for the merchandise, fleeing the immediate area prior to officers’ arrival."
Using surveillance footage and information from other area police departments, Westport detectives determined Parrott as one of the suspects, and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Parrott was released on a promise to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Dec. 18. Westport police believe they know the identities of the other two suspects; the case remains under investigation.
