Teen Sentenced To Year In Prison In Westport Car Thefts Case: Report
The defendant was accused of breaking into a Westport home and stealing cars in 2021.

WESTPORT, CT — An 18-year-old Bristol resident was sentenced to a year in prison after he pleaded guilty to stealing cars in Westport in 2021, reported the Connecticut Post.
Evan Rodriguez reached a plea deal with prosecutors and pleaded guilty in Stamford Superior Court Tuesday to charges of first-degree larceny and second-degree burglary, according to the publication.
Rodriguez was accused of stealing at least one vehicle in August 2021 from a home in the Compo Beach area, following a break in at the home.

Another vehicle was stolen from the residence, and two other stolen vehicles were found nearby.
Rodriguez reportedly was arrested after using a debit card, stolen from the Westport home, at a Walmart.
