Thriller Starring Westport Resident Debuts On Streaming Services

Gladiolus Productions' feature length film, The Dog Walker, has been ordered by four video on demand services per the company's distributor, Leomark Studios. Amazon, Cinedigm, FandangoNOW and iNDEMAND will all stream The Dog Walker beginning on the film's worldwide release date of March 6, 2020. Producers Robyn Babina (who resides in Westport) and Kylie Garcelon Hitchcock are the owners of Gladiolus Productions.

The Dog Walker is a psychological thriller written and directed by Hitchcock. The plot follows an anxiety-ridden journalist (Babina) who suspects she is being stalked when a past assignment comes back to haunt her.

The film had a successful run on the 2019 film festival circuit, with nominations (and a few wins) from festivals including The Indie Gathering International Film Festival (Cleveland), Art is Alive Film Festival (Queens, NY), CTFilmFest52 (Bethel, CT), The New Haven (CT) International Film Festival (which awarded Babina as Best Actress in a Dramatic Role, and the film itself as Best Dramatic Feature), the Jersey Shore Film Festival, the MayDay Film Festival (Evansville, IN), the Red Cedar Film Festival (Menomonie, WI) and the Northern Virginia Film Festival aka The NOVA Fest, where the film picked up eight nominations and two wins. Moral Compass, a short film from Gladiolus (which prides itself on being female founded -and run), was also a winner at the 2017 NOVA Fest, as well as the 2016 Atlantic City Cinefest.
