Town Of Westport: 11-18-2021 Press Release Riverside Avenue Construction Detours And Modified Traffic Patterns

Public Works Director Peter Ratkiewich announced today that as part of the Riverside Avenue improvement project, traffic patterns will be again modified in order to facilitate demolition of the concrete roadway and reconstruction of the pavement.

Beginning Friday, November 19, traffic on Riverside Avenue between Bridge Street and Saugatuck Avenue will be closed to all but businesses and residents within the limits of construction.  All traffic will be directed around the site using Saugatuck Avenue and Charles Street. The closure will continue through to November 23.

All dates and times are approximate and subject to weather conditions.

Motorists are advised to drive with additional caution, allow extra travel time, and obey all detour and safety signals.
