Traffic Advisory Issued for Annual Pequot Road Runners' 2016 Turkey Trot Through Westport
The Thanksgiving Day road race is an annual tradition in the area.
WESTPORT, CT — The 39th Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot, hosted by the Pequot Road Runners of Fairfield, will wind its way through parts of Westport on Nov. 24, and police are warning residents that the even will require temporary road closures.
The run begins in the Southport section of Fairfield and continues into the Greens Farms Section of Westport, and will last from about 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
"Westport residents in the Greens Farms section of Westport can expect road closures and delays on Thanksgiving morning from approximately 7:30am-10:00am," according to police.
