Train to Be a Lifeguard! Family YMCA to Host Red Cross Course

Red Cross Lifeguard Certification courses at the Westport Weston Family YMCA, March 7-8, 14-15

The first of three Red Cross Lifeguard Certification courses at the Westport Weston Family YMCA this spring gets under way on Saturday, March 7. The four-session class continues on Sunday, March 8, and finishes the following weekend, March 14-15, 9 am to 5 pm each day.

This Red Cross Lifeguarding course emphasizes practical lifesaving skills and job-related responsibilities. Lifeguard Training, Standard First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer are included.

Participants must be at least 15 years old and able to swim 500 yards without goggles and tread water for 3 minutes. Must attend all dates and times. Please bring a bathing suit and a meal or snack.
