Truck Fire Extinguished In Westport: FD

WESTPORT, CT — Firefighters responded to a report of a truck fire Wednesday morning on Newtown Turnpike. According to a press release, firefighters arrived at the scene at 5:48 a.m. and found a pick-up truck on fire in the roadway.

A fire hose line was stretched out and firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, officials said.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Westport Fire Marshal’s Office.
