Two Weston Men Rescued From Capsized Boat in Westport

Two men were rescued from the boat on Christmas Day.

Two men were rescued Christmas Day after a boat capsized near Sherwood Island in Westport, NBC Connecticut reports.

Westport Police responded to the scene at around 1:50 p.m., the news channel reports.

According to NBC, the police department’s dive team rescued the men. The Norwalk Marine Division assisted with the rescue.

According to the Connecticut Post, the two men were Jeffrey Oliver Smith and Timothy Cataldo, both from Weston.

The two men did not require medical attention.
