'Untimely Death' Investigated By Westport Police

WESTPORT, CT — The death of a 56-year-old woman in Westport is being called "untimely" by police, and it is under investigation.

Authorities said the woman was found unresponsive at about 11 a.m. on Thursday at an undisclosed address in town.

Additional details were not disclosed, but members of the Westport Police Detective Bureau are being assisted by the Connecticut State Police Major Crime team in the investigation.

"This is an isolated incident and more information will be released as the investigation continues," Westport police wrote in a statement.
