Upcoming Sewer Project Means Closure Of Evergreen Avenue In Westport In July

The sewer extension project is expected to last for a month, according to officials.

Evergreen Avenue Road Closure

Between Myrtle Avenue and Washington Avenue

July 5 through August 4

Between the Hours of 7:00am – 3:30pm

[Water Pollution Control Authority] Collection System Supervisor, Bryan H. Thompson has announced that Town of Westport WPCA will be installing a sanitary sewer system to service above mentioned streets. The work zone area will be between Myrtle Avenue and Washington Avenue. Work is scheduled to begin on July 5 and will be completed by August 4. Detour hours for through traffic will be from 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Evergreen Avenue will be open to the residents of the area and closed to through traffic.

Emergency services will be notified. Westport Public Schools will be out of session.

Local area residents are advised to drive with additional caution, allow for extra travel time.
