Watermark at 3030 Park Announces Winners from Annual Juried Art Show
Bridgeport Residents' Artwork Submitted for National Calendar Competition

The Watermark at 3030 Park is proud to announce that artwork from seven of the community’s residents was chosen for consideration in the Watermark Retirement Communities’ 2016 Expressions national calendar competition .
Residents who consider themselves “Young at Art” as well as experienced artistic residents joined together in creating a collection of pieces for the annual Juried Art Show. The artists contributed sewing projects, sculptures, paintings and drawings, demonstrating a wide variety of talents.
The work of these artists will now be sent to Tucson, Arizona where associates at the Watermark Retirement Communities’ national resource center will judge pieces from Watermark’s 38 communities across the country. Each community held similar juried art shows to determine which pieces would be send to Arizona, all of which are now competing for one of 12 spots in the calendar.
“We’re thrilled with the tremendous amount of talent we have seen from our residents, as well as the opportunity for their artwork to be in the 2016 Watermark Expressions calendar!” said Marlane Argianas, Resident Services Coordinator at The Watermark at 3030 Park. “We wish the best of luck to our residents and look forward to seeing the final calendar later this year.”
This year’s winner at the Juried Art Show was Linda Cohen-Calger with the piece “Azalea.”
