Westport 11U District All-Star Baseball Champions Receive Honor
First Selectwoman Jennifer Tooker presented the players with commendations for winning the state title.
WESTPORT, CT — On the front steps of Town Hall on Wednesday, First Selectwoman Jennifer Tooker presented the state champion Westport 11U District All-Star Baseball Team with commendations celebrating the team's recent victory.
"You made Westport proud," Tooker told the team, which won the state title over Glastonbury 14-8 on July 27.
The championship game was played in Newington at the Clem Lemire Recreational Complex, and marked the second straight state championship for the Westport sluggers. In 2021, the team won the 10U baseball title.

Each player and coach received a commendation from Tooker for their "hard work, commitment and perseverance."
