WESTPORT, CT — Westport’s Department of Human Services is accepting applications for the 2026 Neighborhood Assistance Act Tax Credit Program, a state initiative administered by the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services that encourages businesses to support community programs through tax incentives.
Under the program, businesses can receive tax credits equal to 60 percent or 100 percent of their contributions to approved programs run by municipal agencies or tax-exempt organizations. Eligible initiatives may include projects focused on energy conservation, job training, childcare, services for low-income residents and affordable housing.
According to Human Services Director Elaine Daignault, nonprofit organizations and municipal programs that qualify may receive contributions ranging from a minimum of $250 to a maximum of $150,000 through the program. The value of the tax credit depends on the type of program supported.
