Westport-Based Drone Company Poised to Take Off
FreeBird Flight creates customizable drones.
WESTPORT, CT - FreeBird Flight, a Westport-based drone company, is hoping its customizable design for unmanned aerial vehicles truly takes off.
The company was founded by husband and wife team Roger Freeman and Rory O'Neill - both former financial services employees - who sell a drone product that can fly in inclement weather for about 30 minutes at a time, reports the Westport News.
Made using 3-dimensional printing technology, the drones weigh 14 pounds but can carry up to 20 pounds.
