Westport Continuing Education Announces Holiday Craft Workshops
The workshops will be held the weeks of Oct. 21 and Nov. 11 and feature Andrea "The Yarn Farmer."

From Westport Continuing Education — Westport Continuing Education (WCE) is offering one-day workshops at all five elementary schools in Westport to celebrate the season. Andrea Dener, aka “The Yarn Farmer,” combines her love of fiber arts to present craft workshops including Creepy Creatures Halloween Workshop the week of Oct. 21 and Thanksgiving Pom-Poms Workshop the week of Nov. 11.
Workshop times are after school and dependent on the school location. Each workshop is just $39. Registration is now open on WCE’s new, mobile-friendly website at http://www.westportcontinuinged.com.
The workshops use pom-pom makers, yarn, pipe cleaners, “googly-eyes,” and other colorful craft materials to make a variety of fun characters celebrating Halloween and Thanksgiving. For the Creepy Creatures Halloween Workshop the week of Oct. 21, crafty kids can make Spooky Spiders, Playful Pumpkins and Beautiful Bats.

The kids’ creations may also be transformed into keychains and pom-pom topped pencils. Instructor Andrea Dener is a Craft Yarn Council certified instructor and has been knitting since she was ten years old. She loves pom-poms and sharing her passion for crafting with people of all ages.
