Westport Coronavirus Updates: Town Sets Up Donation Webpage
Packaged N-95 masks and packaged medical masks are among the items the town is accepting for donation to help in the fight against COVID-19.
WESTPORT, CT — The town has set up a webpage to accept donations of personal protective equipment for staff to help in the fight against the new coronavirus (COVID-19), officials announced.
Residents must fill out the form on the webpage and set up an appointment in order to donate items. All donations must be of pre-packaged items, any items that are not pre-packaged cannot be accepted.
"Town of Westport officials are grateful to all who have expressed their desire to donate items to help in the effort to combat COVID-19," officials said.

"At this time, staff is concentrating on emergency response protocols," they added. "The unique circumstances and complications due to potential virus transmission, including the time needed to quarantine donations and equipment, require detailed coordination. Items that do not assist with the response and recovery cannot be accepted."

Westport is accepting the following response and recovery donations at curbside by appointment between 9 a.m. and 12 noon only:
- Plastic face shields and goggles
- Packaged medical masks
- Packaged N-95 masks
- Packaged medical head coverings
- Packaged medical gowns
- Tyvek suits
- Hand sanitizer
- Packaged Nitrile or nylon disposable gloves
To view the page, visit westportct.gov/itemdonation and fill out the brief online form to set up an appointment for pickup. You will be contacted to set up a time for curbside pickup.
Officials added, "Please do not drop off donations at town buildings. Items left without a scheduled pick up cannot be accepted."
