The Pulitzer Prize-winning play is the Playhouse's fourth of six productions in the 2025-26 Season.

WESTPORT, CT — Westport Country Playhouse will present the 2024 Pulitzer Prize–winning play “Primary Trust” from April 14 through May 2 as part of its 2025–26 season. The production, written by Eboni Booth and directed by Logan Vaughn, marks the fourth of six productions scheduled for the theater’s season. “Primary Trust” follows Kenneth, a 38-year-old man living in the fictional town of Cranberry, New York. Isolated and resistant to change, Kenneth spends most evenings at a local tiki bar with his best friend, Bert, who exists only in his imagination. After he loses his longtime job at a bookstore, Kenneth is forced to confront a new reality. He later takes a position at the Primary Trust Bank, where new relationships begin to alter his outlook.

The four-member cast includes Jasminn Johnson as Corrina and other roles, Greg Stuhr as Clay and additional characters, Alphonso Walker Jr. as Kenneth, and Lance Coadie Williams as Bert.
