Westport Digs Out After Tuesday's Storm

Tuesday's snow storm has dumped a lot of the white stuff throughout Connecticut.

WESTPORT, CT — While Tuesday's snow storm closed schools, the town and virtually all of Connecticut for a good portion of the day, Westport appears to have avoided any serious emergencies, according to the below post on the town's Facebook page.

"Many thanks to all Westport Public Safety and Public Works employees for their excellent response to today's snowstorm," wrote officials. "Fortunately, as of noon, there have been no significant emergencies, and our roads and public parking lots are well on their way to being cleared."

Gov. Dannel Malloy announced that he would lift the state's travel ban Tuesday afternoon.
