Westport Elementary School Principal Placed On Leave: Report
Jeffrey Golubchick reportedly was placed on administrative leave as of Feb. 10.
WESTPORT, CT — Jeffrey Golubchick, principal of Westport's Long Lots School, has been placed on paid administrative leave while the school district investigates a legal situation involving him and other staffers, reports the Westport News.
The investigation follows letters an attorney for Golubchick reportedly sent to a select number of staffers at the elementary school allegedly asserting legal claims against them, according to the publication. Golubchick, who has been principal at the school since July 2015, was placed on leave as of Feb. 10.
The exact nature of the letters has not been disclosed. Interim principal Michael Cicchetti is filling in at the school while Golubchick is out.
