Westport Finance Board To Review Multimillion-Dollar Purchase of Highway Dump Trucks
The Westport Department of Public Works is looking to buy several new dump trucks, according to officials.
WESTPORT, CT — Westport's Board of Finance is scheduled to consider a $3.329 million appropriation and related borrowing authorization for the purchase of 11 new highway service dump trucks during a public meeting Wednesday evening.

According to the agenda, the request comes from the Department of Public Works and seeks approval of an appropriation of $3,329,000 to the Municipal Improvement Fund for the purchase of eleven 33,000-pound gross vehicle weight medium-duty Highway Service Dump Trucks.

Board members are also scheduled to review bond and note authorization associated with the proposed expenditure. If approved, the funding would be allocated to the Municipal Improvement Fund account designated for the vehicle purchase.
