Westport Firefighters Extinguish House Fire
No injuries were reported in the Friday night fire.
WESTPORT, CT — Westport firefighters extinguished a house fire Friday night on Warnock Drive, in which "the bulk of the fire damage was limited to the exterior corner of the house and front attic space," according to officials.
The blaze was reported at about 9:45 p.m., and no injuries were reported, as all occupants were safely out of the house by the time firefighters arrived. The last unit cleared the scene at 1 a.m.
According to officials, the fire was confined to the attic, where firefighters were able to ventilate the structure "to limit smoke damage and salvage and overhaul to protect personal property."

Mutual aid from the Norwalk Fire Department responded to the scene as the Rapid Intervention Team, with additional firefighers from Norwalk, Wilton and Fairfield providing station coverage throughout the incident. Westport EMS and Westport police also assisted on scene.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Westport Fire Marshal’s Office.
