Westport First Selectman Issues Thanksgiving Message
As residents of Westport, we are truly grateful for our prosperity, freedoms and the many resources available to us.

From the Town of Westport: As residents of Westport, we are truly grateful for our prosperity, freedoms and the many resources available to us. We are also aware that there are those among us who require additional care and concern. Therefore, we should take to heart the wise words of Theodore Roosevelt who said, “Let us remember that, as much has been given us, much will be expected from us, and that true homage comes from the heart as well as from the lips, and shows itself in deeds.”
Grateful for our own good fortune, we have an obligation as citizens of this great community to help our neighbors in need. As First Selectman, I have witnessed the many avenues with which we are able to give back to those who may be struggling. Westport is fortunate to have many volunteers and human services personnel who share their talents, time and resources to help those in need. I sincerely appreciate all those members of our community who give of themselves in service to others.
My wish to Westporters is that you enjoy your Thanksgiving weekend and take this opportunity to reflect on those blessings for which you are truly thankful.
