Westport Grapples with Congestion, Safety at Myrtle Avenue / Post Road East Intersection

A solution is needed, according to residents.

WESTPORT, CT — The intersection of Myrtle Avenue and the Post Road East in Westport has increasingly become a focal point of concern for residents and officials, but finding solutions for the congestion has not been easy.

The intersection is set to receive widened sidewalks in the future, but safety concerns remain, reports the Westport News.

Construction at the nearby Bedford Square development has contributed to an increase in congestion, according to officials, who will continue to study the issue to find additional solutions.
