Westport To Hold Coronavirus Public Forum On March 8
The meeting, which will be held at the Westport Library, will feature a host of public health experts.
WESTPORT, CT — Local and public health officials will hold a community meeting at noon in the Westport Library on March 8 to discuss the Coronavirus (COVID-19), First Selectman Jim Marpe announced.
"It is important to hold this public information session in order to share the latest information that Town and Health District officials have about COVID-19 and how residents can prepare and protect themselves in the event of a local outbreak," Marpe said. "It will also provide the public with the latest perspectives that Town administrators and public health and safety officials have on a potential town-wide response related to Westport’s facilities and community activities."
Connecticut reported its first confirmed case of COVID-19 on Friday, March 6.
