Westport Immigration Lawyer Suspended

The lawyer was suspended after two of her clients were detained.

A lawyer was suspended for two years after she allegedly failed to adequately represent two of her clients who were detained for several months.

Judith Sporn of Westport was suspended by a judge, according to The Connecticut Law Tribune.

Sporn has been licensed to practice law since 1982 and will appeal the decision.

Two Albanian citizens and brother-in-laws hired her to help with immigration appeals. The two learned that appeals were dismissed years earlier when U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials came knocking.
