Westport Jeweler Wins National Jewelry Competition

WESTPORT, CT – Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, has awarded Faye Kim of Westport-based Faye Kim Designs, two honors in the 2018 CASE Awards, the association’s annual jewelry design competition.

Faye Kim won the CASE Award in the Jewelry $5,001-$10,000 (retail value) category, as well as the Jewelry $10,001 and over (retail value) category, according to a release. Kim competed among 57 jewelers in the competition.

The CASE Awards recognizes the creativity, artistry, style and excellence in jewelry design from top jewelers across the nation. All entries were evaluated by a panel of expert judges to determine a winner in each category.

The winning pieces were showcased at the JA New York trade show, March 11-13, 2018, in New York City.

“Jewelers of America is honored to showcase the exceptional craftsmanship and creativity of jewelers, like Faye Kim, whose designs demonstrate the remarkable jewelry available from JA-member stores nationwide,” JA President & CEO David J. Bonaparte said in a release.

Faye Kim won the CASE Award in the Jewelry $5,001-$10,000 (retail value) category for an 18K gold handcrafted vintage coral and diamond pendant with a center coral cabochon, coral beads and rose cut milky diamonds. Kim also took home the award in the Jewelry $10,001 and over (retail value) category for an 18K green gold alloy (24K and sterling silver) bracelet with a round brilliant cut.
