Westport Lawyer to Represent Lisa Irwin’s Parents

Well-known Westport lawyer Joe Tacopina is reportedly representing the parents of Lisa Irwin, the missing Missouri baby.

According to published reports, Tacopina, who lives on Red Coat Road, held a news conference on Monday to announce he would be representing the family — the same day that Deborah Bradley, the baby’s mother, told national media that she drank heavily the night her daughter disappeared and may have blacked out.

Tacopina, a well-known defense attorney who also represented the mother of slain Yale graduate student , reportedly studied law at what is now Quinnipiac Law. He also defended Joran Van der Sloot, the main suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba.
