Westport Man Accused Of Voyeurism After Hidden Camera Found In Bathroom: Police
The suspect is accused of filming people using the bathroom, according to Westport police.
WESTPORT, CT — A 38-year-old Westport man was arrested last week on a charge of voyeurism, after Westport police said the man hid a camera in an apartment bathroom and filmed people without their knowledge.
Albert Bermudez Ocampo was arrested on a warrant on April 17, and is free after posting bond on bail of $50,000, according to Westport police.
The department began investigating the case in early April, "after a complainant reported that they found a hidden camera placed in a shared bathroom of an apartment they shared with a married couple," said Lt. Eric Woods in a statement.

"The complainant reported finding the camera and determined that it had captured videos of them using the bathroom without their knowledge or permission," Woods said.
Bermudez Ocampo was determined to be the suspect, and he was arrested at his home during a search by police. Additional details were not disclosed.

Bermudez Ocampo is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on May 2.
