The suspect also allegedly threatened to kill police officers who subdued him.

WESTPORT, CT — A 37-year-old Westport man, who police said "appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance," threatened to kill police officers who subdued him and spit in the face of a paramedic during a disturbance early Sunday, according to police.
Charles Vosgueritchian, who allegedly destroyed a crack pipe during an arrest in January, was transported to Norwalk Hospital for evaluation following a 12:30 a.m. disturbance at a West Parish Road residence.
"Officers located Charles Vosgueritchian inside the home acting out and appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance," wrote Westport police in a statement. "Vosgueritchian had an argument with the victims of this incident, and broke items in the home during the argument. As the Officers were taking Vosgueritchian into custody, he began fighting with them, and threatening to kill them. He was ultimately handcuffed and brought to an ambulance to be sedated. Once in the ambulance, Vosgueritchian spit in the face of a Paramedic."
