Westport Man Stole $35k Worth of Jewelry: PD
The man took two expensive watches and other jewelry.

WESTPORT, CT — A Westport man was charged with stealing two watches worth $35,000 and some jewelry from his employer.
Devoe called police July 16 to report a vehicle registered to the victim had been stolen out of a parking lot at 495 Post Road East. Devoe supposedly had permission to use the vehicle, police said.
Devoe later contacted police and said the vehicle was found in Bridgeport and some friends took it as a joke.

The victim said he became suspicious of his employee Michael Devoe, 38, after the incident. He checked his home and place of business and discovered the watches and jewelry were stolen.
Devoe later admitted to taking the items, police said.

He was charged with first-degree larceny and held on a $25,000 bond.
