Westport Middle School Students Compete In MathCounts
Two students advanced to the State Round of the competition.
From Westport Public Schools: Nine Mathletes from Coleytown Middle School students contested in Chapter Round of MathCounts Competition at Fairfield University; James Cao, Jenna Kornbluth, Rebecca Schussheim, Yash Hari, Asmi Rudra, Darren Weng, Nicholas Patafio, Michael Patafio and Gabriel Weng.
Two Coleytowners advanced to the State Round with Asmi Rudra Securing 20th rank and James Cao securing 30th rank. Three of the 9 Coleytowner Mathlets scored in top 25% of the Chapter Competition. Coleytown Middle School Team ranked 8th and stood in top 40%. School average (27.56) was higher than the competition average (25.14).
On Saturday 03/09/19, two Mathletes from Coleytown Middle School students contested in State
Round of MathCounts Competition at University of Hartford. James Cao secured 36th rank and Asmi Rudra secured 77th rank out of 143 students.
