WESTPORT, CT — The Westport Museum for History & Culture will host a free walking tour at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 19, in honor of the national Juneteenth holiday. Two 10 a.m. tours are already sold out, according to organizers.

"Step back in time and discover the powerful, untold stories of Westport’s African American community!" organizers wrote. "Join us for a guided walking tour through downtown Westport, based on the Museum’s award-winning exhibit Remembered: The History of African Americans in Westport."

Included in the tours will be stories from staff "of soldiers, sailors, activists, artists, and respected citizens whose legacies are woven into the fabric of this town."
