Westport Nursing Home Fined By State: Report

Several instances of lapses in care reportedly were cited by the state.

WESTPORT, CT — Westport Rehabilitation Complex, which is a nursing home on Burr Road in Westport, was recently fined more than $2,300 by the state for alleged mistakes in patient care, reports Connecticut Health I-Team.

The facility was cited for five separate incidents that occurred in 2015 and 2016, including occasions when patients were given the wrong medication, according to author Cara Rosner.

In another instance, a patient who was supposedly wearing a "wanderguard" device escaped from facility and was found by police on the Post Road in Westport.
