Westport P&Z To Review 2 Proposed Zoning Text Amendments Next Week

WESTPORT, CT — Land Use Planner Amanda Trianovich has announced that on December 18, 2023 at 7 PM, the Planning and Zoning Commission’s Meeting agenda items include but are not limited to:

• Text Amendment #840: #PZ-23-00665 submitted on behalf of the Planning and Zoning Commission to modify §45, to establish notice of an Inclusionary Housing Fee associated with the Westport Affordable Housing Trust Fund Ordinance adopted in October 2023. The fee will help finance affordable housing by imposing fees on permits from the Planning and Zoning Department. Text Amendment #840 can be viewed on the Town’s website here.

And:

• 13 Hyde Lane: Municipal Improvement Appl. #PZ-23-00716, Request for a report from the Planning and Zoning Commission submitted by John Broadbin, Deputy Director of Public Works for the Town of Westport, on behalf of the First Selectwoman, pursuant to CGS-§8-24, Municipal Improvement, for the construction of a new Long Lots Elementary School and the relocation of a multipurpose field on Town-owned property.

The December 18, 2023 meeting will be live-streamed at 7:00 PM on the Town’s website at www.westportct.gov, and accessible on Optimum Government Access Channel 79. The remote meeting link is published on the meeting agenda available on the Town’s website on the “Meeting List and Calendar” web page. Written comments may be submitted and should be sent to PandZ@westportct.gov by 12:00pm on the day of the meeting if intended to be distributed for consideration by members of the Planning and Zoning Commission. Written comments received after 12:00pm on the day of the meeting will be entered into the record but will not be distributed until the next business day.
