Westport To Park School Buses On Campuses In Town: School District

WESTPORT, CT — Westport school buses will be parked for the next four months at Staples, Bedford Middle, Coleytown Middle, Coleytown Elementary and Long Lots Elementary schools under a temporary parking plan launched by the school district.

The plan was recently approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission, and calls for buses to be parked in otherwise unused spaces.

Buses will leave in the morning for typical runs, return, leave again in the afternoon, and return for the evening.

The school district recently changed bus companies, from DATTCO to First Student Inc., and is now looking for a new location to permanently park buses.
