Westport Police Remind Residents Of Monday Night Bridge Repair Work

The Route 136 Bridge (Cribari Bridge) is slated for repair work beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, and lasting until early Tuesday.

Information from the Westport Police Department:

WESTPORT, CT — Westport Police are reminding the public that CT DOT will be working on the Cribari Bridge (Route 136 Bridge) from 7:30 PM on March 18th, 2024 to 5:30 AM on March 19th, 2024. This maintenance work will require the full closure of the bridge. Westport Police will have officers stationed on both sides of the bridge during the closure and traffic will be detoured to the Post Road. Traffic congestion is expected through the evening hours, and we advise drivers to avoid the area if possible.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
