Westport Pride Community Celebration Set For This Weekend

The event will include live entertainment, interfaith ceremonies and remarks from elected officials.

WESTPORT, CT — Westport Pride will hold its 2026 Community Celebration from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at Jesup Green.

The event will include live entertainment, interfaith ceremonies and remarks from elected officials, according to organizers.

U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., is scheduled to attend. Organizers said he will participate in support of the LGBTQ+ community in Westport and throughout Connecticut.

Blumenthal recently joined other members of Congress in reintroducing the Equality Act, legislation that would establish federal civil rights protections for LGBTQ+ individuals in areas including employment, housing and public accommodations.

Also scheduled to appear is Westport native Jamie Martin Mann, who made his Broadway debut in Stranger Things: The First Shadow in 2025. In the production, he played Ted Wheeler and served as an understudy for the role of Hopper.

Mann, a graduate of the University of Michigan's Bachelor of Fine Arts program, has participated in developmental workshops for 10 Things I Hate About You and The Untitled Unofficial Hunter S. Thompson Musical.

His television credits include roles as Brody in Netflix's Country Comfort and Tate in Days of Our Lives. His stage credits include the title role in Billy Elliot the Musical and a role in Because of Winn Dixie. He has also performed with New York City Ballet and Alvin Ailey.

Mann began training at Triple Threat Academy in Westport under Cynthia Gibb at age 8 and now serves as a guest instructor there. He is represented by Paradigm and Artists First and is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors' Equity Association.
