Westport Public Schools Cancels Evening Events

WESTPORT, CT — Westport Schools Superintendent Thomas Scarice announced that Tuesday night's school events after 7 p.m. are canceled due to expected inclement weather.

"Due to high wind warnings that are expected to hit the region this evening, the Westport Public Schools will be canceling all evening activities after 7PM," Scarice wrote in a message to parents Tuesday afternoon.

Heavy rains and strong winds are expected throughout Connecticut Tuesday night and early Wednesday, according to meteorologists.
