Westport Public Schools Names New Supervisor Of Health Services
She was selected following an extensive search process.
WESTPORT, CT — Westport Public Schools has appointed Jill Grego as its new supervisor of health services, effective July 1, 2026.
Grego currently serves as supervisor of school health services and district 504 coordinator for the West Haven Board of Education. In that role, she oversees health services across 11 schools serving about 6,500 students.
According to the district, Grego was selected following an extensive search process that included multiple rounds of interviews with administrators, school leaders and staff members.

As supervisor in West Haven, Grego leads a team of school nurses and health assistants and oversees compliance with state and federal health regulations. Her responsibilities also include coordinating districtwide Section 504 services, overseeing homebound instruction and working with multidisciplinary teams that support students with complex medical needs.
The district said Grego also has worked to expand student access to health care through partnerships with school-based clinics and mobile health providers.

Before moving into a leadership role, Grego worked as a school nurse in West Haven, managing student health needs and developing individualized health care plans. She also has served as a per diem registered nurse with Yale New Haven Health System’s Occupational Health Department and at Choate Rosemary Hall.
Grego holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in business administration and accounting from Fordham University. She is a licensed registered nurse in Connecticut and New York and holds certifications in basic life support, first aid and sexual assault forensic examination.
In addition, Grego is a registered yoga teacher and wellness educator.
Superintendent Thomas Scarice said Grego’s background made her a strong addition to the district’s leadership team.
"Jill brings an exceptional combination of clinical expertise, leadership experience, and a deep commitment to supporting students," Scarice said. "We are excited to welcome her to our leadership team."
