Winners from the exhibition,"Beyond Brushwork," were recently announced at the Rowayton Arts Center.

WESTPORT, CT — Winners from the exhibition,“Beyond Brushwork," were announced at the Rowayton Arts Center on Sunday. Amy Schott (Wilton) won Best in Show, as well as the Gale Parsons Memorial Award. Her piece, “Twisted in Color, was created from tiny pieces of paper from packaging materials.
“Without a doubt, Amy Schott’s masterful use of thin colorful strips creates a composition that decisively communicates what it means to be beyond brushwork," Principal of LGE Fine Art Consultingand judge Laura G. Einstein said in a release. “I was struck by the diversity of technique, imagery and displays of talent.”
Categories in the show are digital art, drawings, mixed media, paper cuts, pastels and prints. Westport resident Dan Long won second place in the Drawing category for his piece "Trying to Hold it Together."
