Westport RTM Seeks To Fill Vacancy In District 6
The vacancy was created with the passing of Cathy Talmadge, 71, a member of the RTM since 2008.

WESTPORT, CT — With the recent passing of member Cathy Talmadge, the Westport Representative Town Meeting is seeking to fill her position in District 6, Town Clerk Jeffrey Dunkerton announced on Friday.
Talmadge, 71, was a member of the RTM since 2008, and she died on Dec. 30 following a "very rapid and private battle with esophageal cancer," reported the Westport Journal.
She is remembered as an active member of the community, who served in various roles throughout town, before her 14 years on the RTM. On the town's legislative body, Talmadge served on the finance, public works and environment committees, according to the Journal.
