Westport Schools Seek Strategic Plan Input
The Westport Board of Education's Strategic Planning Committee is spearheading the effort.

WESTPORT, CT — In an attempt to gather community input in the plan's development, the Westport Board of Education’s Strategic Planning Committee has launched an online survey to collect the feedback.
The committee has been tasked with the development of a multi-year comprehensive strategic plan for the district, and is seeking comments from the entire Westport community, not just parents with children in the system.
"It is critical that we hear the voices of all stakeholders in Westport so that we can take a comprehensive look at where we are as a school district and where we hope to grow over the next three to five years to bring our district to the next level of excellence," said Westport Public Schools Superintendent Colleen Palmer in a statement.

In addition to the online survey, the committee is also organizing individual interviews of Westport leaders and focus groups of teachers and other educators, students, and parents, "to gather a wide range of perspectives on the state of the Westport Public Schools."
The online survey seeks resident's opinions "regarding the strengths and areas of growth for the Westport Public Schools." All community members, including parents, faculty, alumni, and residents without children in the school system, are invited to participate in the survey, which will be posted from today, April 4, to April 30, 2017.
