Westport Seeks Bids For Emergency Snow and Ice Removal

WESTPORT, CT — The town is seeking bids for its emergency snow and ice removal program, officials announced.

Bids will be received by the town until 11 a.m. on Sept. 16 at the Westport Town Hall Finance Office, Room 313, 110 Myrtle Ave.

According to Westport Purchasing Officer Richard Kotchko, the program is a supplement to the town's snow plowing efforts.

"The Town Department of Public Works plows all town roads," Kotchko wrote in an email to Patch. "We put this bid out every year for contractors to plow school lots and other town parking lots."

No bids will be received or accepted after 11 a.m. on the 16th. Copies of the bid documents may be obtained by downloading from the town’s website.

Due to COVID-19 protocols, responses will be opened the next business day via a ZOOM meeting.

Interested parties may apply for the ZOOM meeting access by emailing Kotchko at rkotchko@westportct.gov.

The Town of Westport reserves the right to waive any defects and informality in the bidding or in any bid, to reject any or all bids for any reason whatsoever and to accept that bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Westport.
