Westport Sets Opening Date For Longshore Golf Course

WESTPORT, CT — Longshore Golf Course, one of the jewels of Westport's municipal properties, will open for the 2017 season on April 10, weather permitting, announced Westport Parks and Recreation Director Jennifer Fava.

“We have had exciting changes in the past couple of monthsand are looking forward to the 2017 golf season," said Fava in a statement. "Our new Head Golf Professional Jon Janik and our new Golf Course Superintendent Todd Salamone have been working hard to make sure the pro shop, staff, and course are ready for this new season.”

Additionally, the golf course has a website: www.longshoregolfcourse.com, and the course Pro Shop's phone number has been changed to (203) 221-0900.

Westport residents may purchase or renew a golf handpass online at www.westportrecreation.com or in person at the Westport Parks and Recreation Department (located in Longshore Club Park, 260 Compo Road South) during office hours, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Fava added, "We are confident that everyone will enjoy the new carts and range equipment as we continue to strive to improve the Longshore experience. We hope you have a great season on the course."
