Westport: SLS Sixth Grader Wins at J.S. Bach Awards Piano Competition

Two St. Luke's Students Take First Place in Junior and Senior Level Divisions

This spring, two St. Luke’s students participated and placed in prestigious Connecticut piano competitions.

After spending her school’s spring break practicing about five hours per day, St. Luke's student Lina Elwood ‘28 of Westport won First Place in the Junior Level at the J.S. Bach Awards sponsored by the Schubert Club of Fairfield County and Third Place at the 7th J.Y. Park Piano Competition in collaboration with Western Connecticut State University’s music program.

New Canaan’s Andrew Seel '24, a student at St. Luke's School, won First Place in the Senior Level at the J.S. Bach Awards Competition and Third Place in the high school division at the Renee B. Fisher Piano Competition sponsored by the Neighbourhood Music School in New Haven.
