WESTPORT, CT — Savvy Smoker, a smoke and vape shop at 940 Post Road East in Westport, was raided by police this week "following several community complaints regarding the sale of illegal substances," according to authorities.

Westport police detectives, who also investigated the business, corroborated that the shop was selling certain items illegally, said Lt. Jillian Cabana.

"The business does not hold a cannabis dispensary, hybrid retailer, retailer, or delivery service license from the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (DCP)," Cabana said in a statement.
