Westport VFW Hosts Jazz Society Of Fairfield County Fundraising Event

The following announcement is from the VFW Post 399 and the Jazz Society of Fairfield County:

WESTPORT, CT — The non-profit Jazz Society of Fairfield County celebrates its first anniversary of performances at VFW Post 399 on Thursday, April 27th at 465 Riverside Avenue in Westport. Over 20 jazz musicians presented by the Society are donating their services to perform at this ticketed fund-raiser.

Funds will be used to launch clinics led by professional musicians for students, area amateur and pre-professional musicians, at which non-professionals will perform for and with experienced musicians. Additionally, the Society aims for wider participation in after-school programs, senior centers and other facilities for the under-served in area communities.

Announced performers at the April 27th fund-raiser include Brian Marsella, David Morgan, Sarah Cion, Mike Mossman, Tim Horner, Phil Bowler, Rob Henke, Joe Corsello, Dave Childs, Kenny Wessel, Rale Micic, David DeJesus and Artistic Director Jazz Rabbi Greg Wall.

Tickets for the event, available online at https://aftontickets.com/event/buyticket/57jme8lxvr, start at $100 per person and include a festive dinner created by a CIA-trained chef. Beverages are available for purchase on-site from the VFW.
